The best iPhone case yet

My long quest for the ultimate iPhone case is over. Today, FedEx delivered a Sena Walletskin Case for iPhone 3G, and it's the nicest looking, feeling and most pratical case I've come across.

I'm picky about cases for gadgets, and the Walletskin is the third iPhone case that I've gone through. Although some of the others had promise, this one really delivers. First of all, the feel of it is excellent. It's nicely constructed, the stitching is well-done, and it comes in a nice range of colours and finishes.

But what I really like is the credit card slots. Yes, thanks to a folding flip-down piece, you can fit four cards into it - which effectively means that I don't need to carry a wallet around. Once less thing to clutter up the pockets.

Plus, while it comes with a belt clip, you can detach it - so you don't have to have that chunky clip if, like me, you prefer carrying the iPhone in your pocket rather than looking like a geeky dweeb.

I ordered mine from the US, it cost about $65 including shipping (which took a couple of days). Worth every penny.

Customer testimonial: I love my 1st Sena Case

It's not in my nature to contact a company about their product unless I have a problem. However, I am so happy with the purchase of my first Sena case that I thought I would let the company know some positive feedback.

I just received my iPhone as a gift a few weeks ago and thus this began my search for a case. Friends using the rubber type cases with their iPhones did not seem happy with their selection. A search of the web brought me to the Sena site. Where I found many beautiful and functional options. It was tough to choose between the Dockable & Leather Skin cases and all of the vibrant colors. In the end I selected an orange Leather Skin as I though it would be less bulky.

The case arrived within two days of ordering very well packaged. The quailty of the leather is wonderful and the stitching is top-notch. The cutout sections for the phone features are perfect and I like the option to install the clip or not. I chose the later for now. It fits like a glove and adds little bulk. I will certainly purchase other Sena cases in the future. Excellent quality for the $.

I recently purchased for my Treo 680 the Leatherskin and MagnetFlipper, both in Tan. They are beautiful. They fit perfectly.

I've purchased several other brands (Krussell, Cellet, Palm) of cases along the way in various styles (vertical and horizontal) and by far, yours are the best. I couldn't get over how well the cut-outs match up. Truly a superior product. At first I thought your products were a bit pricey, but after receiving them I didn't feel so bad.

Sena was the case choice when i owned the HP 6515, so I went to them while searching for a case 4 my 700w. . . I hate the flip cases, but i personally preferred leather as opposed to the plastic skin i have been using, I have found the PERFECT case, its the LeatherSkin-Lateral Pouch Combo by Sena, its well worth the $60. U r able to choose the color combination (being the fashion Diva that I am, i choose the red skin & the black & red pouch fyi there are two memory card pockets on the back of the pouch on either side of the belt clip, this is not shown in the pictures on the website and it was a surprise, and satisfation when i received my case. Just thought I would share my excitement. . .

Hmmm ....you wanna know our marketing method? : Do not show all the goodies that your product have. Then, the customer will be happier when he /she receives the item.

.... something does not sound quite right ....

... oh well, it is the webmaster... he simply must have forgotten to put that info ... it is not our marketing method ...

... but it really is the PERFECT CASE .

and I can proudly say that Sena is the pioneer of the Skin-Pouch combos. Long after we started offering them, some plastic versions have started to appear.

Hello,

I just wanted to drop a line and say this is the "smartest" case I ever bought for a smart phone! Before I got my Motorola Q I had a Palm Treo 650 and I went through "case hell" with 5 cases I went through because either they didn't do the job or were "cheaply" made. I was using my Treo once and the phone "flew" right out of the case into the pavement because the top of the case wasn't sturdy and the case expanded TOO MUCH! The rubber case I had was impractical and I dropped the phone a couple of times because the rubber or silicone (whatever it is) was hard to put into a pocket and impossible to clip onto my belt. With the Q, I decided to REALLY do my homework. I poured through page after page on the web, and I saw the folks who were using a Sena case seemed to rave about the case! I called, Sena and Rhonda from your sales staff answered every ridiculous question I has with patience and a lot of respect. I honestly was never treated like that before and I appreciate that Rhonda REALLY knows her cases! I bought it.

For me, a case (a good case) is a necessity, not a luxury! Among what motivated me to write this testimonial are the following key points..

1. The stitching and the quality of the case REALLY stand out. Oh my God! This is quality!

2. The case is very tight upon first usage (may I suggest you put a warning label), but then loosens up enough to be able to remove the phone in about a week or so. I had to use an envelope knife a little bit, very carefully, with NO sharp edges, to get the Q out of the case. I suggest that people Clean the screen on their phones first BEFORE they slip the case in.

3. The way the flap flips on the bottom is a smart idea.

4. and finally... I love the Clip! That was a problem with most of the previous cases I used! Either they were too cheap and they would break (replacements - $6 or so) or they would be impractical. This clip is REALLY Strong and easy to use, and doesn't add any bulk.

My only reason I hesitated was because the case was around $50. You know what? It cost me more before! It cost me almost $150 and higher going through 5 cases! The $60 is well spent!

Thank you for your professionalism, your honesty, and your commitment to treat people like people, with courtesy. I am in sales myself and all I can say is I sure wish there were folks like you in my field!

Rich enough to buy cheap things?

I remember hearing this phrase: I am not rich enough to buy cheap things. Although I am not sure who said it first, it is something I totally agree. Everything we buy is an investment. When deciding for an investment, first we look at the "return of investment" .

When you buy your PDA or smartphone or the new iPhone, you are making a big investment. Then, a case that protects it becomes twice more important as an investment.

About a month ago, in a TreoCentral Podcast (... well Treocast) , Dieter Bohn and Mike Overbo talked about Sena Treo 680 / 750 cases and they say " is our favorite leather flip case for the Treo, it's definitely worth a look if that's your style" and in Podcast they added" ... these cases are not cheap but a Sena case is an investment".

I remembered this when I received a customer e-mail today. He had purchased a Sena Motorola Q Magnetflipper case. In his e-mail, he talks about why he thinks a Sena case is an investment. His testimonial is in the next post.

From time to time I will post the reasons why our customers prefer a Sena case over any other brand. This time it will be easier since I just saw a post by Judie Sohn at her nice blog: A View from Home and she definitely explains much better than I would:

Sena really considered how the Treo 650 is used in every way, from phoning to photo-taking to PDA use. Their design is thus unique and makes for one of my favorite Treo cases. Case in point: while most PDA and smartphone cases have the flip cover attached at the top, the Sena case's cover attaches at the bottom. The result? It's much easier and faster to answer a call because you can flip open the magnetic cover with a thumb and the cover will drop down out of the way. No need to unfasten a snap, open the cover and fold it over the back of the device to answer a call. Nice.

The quality of leather is very good. The stitching has held up will and remains nice and tight. All the case cut outs are perfectly aligned with the controls providing unfettered access. The case has several nice “touches” including a screening over the blackberry speaker opening, 3 slots for business/credit cards on the inside flap, and a magnetic catch on the flip-face that also will terminate a call and dim your screen when closed.
